Parents Evening and Reports
Parents will receive their child’s report before the parent consultation evening in October. Parents will then need to book online for an appointment to see the teacher. In the Autumn Term meetings are really just an initial meeting to ensure pupils are settling into their new year groups and to discuss the first report and test results. Appointments are in 5 minute slots with your child’s class teacher. If your child is receiving extra support at school, a provision map will be given to you at this meeting to highlight what the school has put in place to help your child. Should, at the end of your appointment, you feel that a longer appointment is needed for another discussion, please arrange this with the class teacher.
Parents will receive their child’s second data report. Again they will need to book an appointment online to see the teacher; this term a 10 minute slot to discuss their child’s progress in maths and literacy. Provision maps will be allocated for children that are receiving extra support.
Final reports are sent to parents, including your child’s third and final data. The school will hold an opening evening towards the end of the Summer Term, where parents can look at books or come in to informally meet your child’s new teacher for September.
We would like to stress that should you wish to meet your child’s teacher at any time, or have any concerns, please do not wait for parents evening. Appointments to meet teachers can be made at any time via email, your child’s homework diary or the school office.
