Thinking Skills

To help children with their learning we use thinking maps, BLP (which stands for Building Learning Power) and Bloom’s Taxonomy higher-order thinking skills. This helps children with their everyday lives and encourages them to use their skills to enable them to further their learning. Once a week the children write in their Reflective Journal using a thinking map, about the things which they have learned that week and they link this to BLP. Children are encouraged to understand that they play an important part in their own learning, and as they get older they must take greater responsibility for┬átheir learning.
