National Poetry Day

On National Poetry Day we welcomed poet Alex Wharton to Whitchurch! Alex led a fantastic whole school assembly and poetry workshops, bringing poetry to life through music (including piano and harmonica), rap and plenty of audience participation. We produced some amazing Wonder Boxes in readiness for the day, full of creativity and imagination to spark sense of wonder, curiosity and imagination that sits so beautifully alongside poetry. It was a brilliant day of exploring, learning and performing poetry!
